Living in Garden Isles
A boater’s neighborhood of canal-front homes with ocean access, minutes from downtown Pompano Beach and the beach.
Market data: Redfin Garden Isles housing market, three months ending August 2026.
What it’s like to live in Garden Isles
Garden Isles is laced with canals, and many homes have seawalls, private docks and boat lifts with a route to the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic. Most homes are single-family houses, including many mid-century homes, along with a smaller number of condos and co-ops.
Some canal routes pass under a fixed bridge, so boat height matters when choosing a home here. Downtown Pompano Beach, the fishing pier, the farmers market and the amphitheater are close by, and the beach is about three miles away. Because the neighborhood mixes waterfront houses with lower-priced condos, the overall median understates what canal-front homes sell for.
